Witnesses
In some cases, such as with Loan Documents in certain states, a witness or witnesses may be necessary. For documents like Financial Power of Attorney, Durable Power of Attorney, or Medical Power of Attorney, 1 or 2 witnesses are typically required. All witnesses must be impartial, meaning they cannot be listed as a beneficiary or named party in the document, nor stand to benefit from it in the future. Family members are ineligible to act as witnesses to avoid conflicts of interest that could be exploited in court. Witnesses must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid, unexpired US-issued ID or Driver's License (original card only). Copies or temporary IDs will not be accepted. If you're unable to provide a witness, we offer this service at an additional cost, starting at $35 per hour per witness and varying based on location. Our witnesses are Notaries, Loan Signing Agents, or Veterans with active and current credentials, including yearly background checks, ensuring reliability and professionalism at the signing table.
